जीवन-जगत् क्या ?
आशय समझो, आशा जीतो!
आशा ही को पाशा समझो !”
फिर, गम्भीर हो कुछ और कहती माँ :
करुणा
“मेरे रोने से यदि
तुम्हारा मुख खिलता हो
सुख मिलता हो तुम्हें
लो! मैं...रो...रही...हूँ
और रो सकती हूँ
और
मेरे होने से यदि
तुम्हारा दिल धुक्-धुक् करता हो
हिलता हो, घबराहट से दुखता हो
लो, इस होने को खोना चाहूँगी,
चिरकाल तक सोना चाहूँगी,
प्रार्थना करती हूँ प्रभु से, कि
शीघ्रातिशीघ्र
मेरा होना मिट जाय
मेरा अस्तित्व अशेष-रूप से
शून्य में मिल जाय, बस!"
इस पर प्रभु फर्माते हैं कि
‘‘होने का मिटना सम्भव नहीं है, बेटा!
होना ही संघर्ष-समर का मीत है
होना ही हर्ष का अमर गीत है।’’
‘‘मैं क्षमा चाहती हूँ तुमसे
तुम्हारी कामना पूरी नहीं हो सकी
हे भोक्ता-पुरुष!"
What is the life and the world ?
Grasp the purpose, win over the wishes !
Realize the desire to be the snare !”
Then, something more is added gravely
By the Mother-Compassion-
“ If my tears
Cause your face to bloom
May confer happiness upon you
Lo! I..am...weeping...
And may go on bewailing,
And
Due to my presence
If your heart quivers with timidity
Palpitates, is pained with perplexity
Lo, I would like to lose my presence,
Would wish to go to eternal sleep,
I pray to God, that,
As soon as possible,
I should cease to exist
My existence should get itself merged
Entirely with the void, that's all !"
At this, the Lord rejoins that
The annulment of the‘Being' is not possible,dear child!
‘To exist' indeed is an ally in the struggling battle !
‘To be' is the everlasting song of joy.
I beg your pardon
Your wish remained unfulfilled
O thou pleasure-seeking man !
