वीर रस से तीर का मिलना
कभी सम्भव नहीं है
और
वीर रस से
पीर का मिटना
त्रिकाल असम्भव !
आग का योग पाता है
शीतल जल भी वह
शनैः शनैः
जलता-जलता,
उबलता भले ही
किन्तु सुनो!
धधकती अग्नि को भी नियन्त्रित कर
बुझा सकता है उसे।
परन्तु,
वीर-रस के सेवन करने से
तुरन्त मानव-खून
खूब उबलने लगता है
काबू में आता नहीं वह
दूसरों को शान्त करना तो दूर,
शान्त माहौल भी खौलने लगता है
ज्वालामुखी-सम्।
और
इसके सेवन से
उद्रेक-उद्ण्डता का अतिरेक
जीवन में उदित होता है,
पर पर अधिकार चलाने की भूख
इसी का परिणाम है।
बबूल के ढूँठ की भाँति
मान का मूल कड़ा होता है
It is never possible
To reach the shores through the sentiment of heroism And
Through the mere brave heroic sentiments
The cessation of woes
Is impossible in all the three times-the present, the
past and the future !
Even the cool water
Comes in contact with the fire,
Little by little,
Being heated up,
Gets boiled, indeed.
But listen !
It can extinguish even the blazing fire
By bringing it under control.
But,
By the usage of the sentiment of heroism
The human blood instantly
Begins to boil extremely
It goes beyond the control,
To bring others into the fold of peace is a far cry,
Even the peaceful atmosphere starts boiling
Like a volcano,
And
By the usage of it
The excess of increased rudeness
Takes rise in life,
The hunger of subjugating others
Is the outcome hereof.
The root of pride is as hard
As the stump of an acacia tree -
