साहित्य का मन्थन करता
मन्मथ-मन्थक बना वह
उसका माथा...!
साहित्य-रस में डूबा
भोर-विभोर हो
एक टाँग वाला, पर
नर्तन में तत्पर है काँटा!
मन्द-मन्द हँसता-हँसता
उसका हंसा
एहसास कराता है शिल्पी को
कि
सदा-सदियों से हंसा तो जीता है
दोषों से रीता हो,
परन्तु सबकी वह काया
पीड़ा पहुँचाती है सबको
इसीलिए लगता है, अन्त में इस
काया का दाह-संस्कार होता हो।
हे काया! जल-जल कर अग्नि से,
कई बार राख, खाक हो कर भी
अभी भी जलाती रहती है आतम को
बार-बार जनम ले-ले कर!
इधर, यह लेखनी भी कह उठी
प्रासंगिक साहित्य-विषय पर, कि
लेखनी के धनी लेखक से
और
प्रवचन-कला-कुशल से भी
While stirring the literature
Its forehead...
Obtained the form of Cupid's churning-stick !
Absorbed into the taste of literature.
Being deeply charmed
The single-legged one, yet
Engaged into dancing, the thorn !
Smiling gracefully
Its individual soul
Makes the Artisan feel
That
The Hamsā, that is-Soul-lives everlastingly
Sustaining no blemish at all,
But that body of everybody
Causes pains to one and all
Hence, it seems that this dead body
Is put to burning ceremony in the end.
O Body ! being burnt once and again into flames,
Turning into ashes and dust even several times -
Thou still inflameth the Spirit' frequently
By taking births once and again.
Hither, this pen too started saying something
About the topic of literature, under reference, that
More than the writer rich in penmanship
And
More than an eloquent propounder of
sacred texts even,
