पद-पद पर प्रार्थना करता है प्रभु से कि
पदाभिलाषी बन कर
पर पर पद-पात न करूँ,
उत्पात न करूँ,
कभी भी किसी जीवन को
पद-दलित नहीं करूँ, हे प्रभो !
हे प्रभो! और यह
कैसे सम्भव हो सकता है?
शान्ति की सत्ता-सती
माँ-माटी के माथे पर, पद-निक्षेप...!
क्षेम-कुशल क्षेत्र पर
प्रलय की बरसात है यह।
प्रेम-वत्सल शैल पर
अदय का पविपात है यह।
सुख-शान्ति से
दूर नहीं करना है इस युग को
और
दुःख-क्लान्ति से
चूर नहीं करना है।
माटी में उतावली की
लहर दौड़ आती है
स्थिति आवली की भी
जहर छोड़ जाती है।

The other foot-step utters some songs of devotion
At every pace, it prays to God That
On being desirous of an office
I shouldn't kick the others,
I should create no disturbances,
I should never crush, O Lord !
The life of any living being...
And, O my Lord !
How can it be possible ?
It's like a blow with a foot...
On the forehead of the Mother Earth
Who is the virtuous ‘Woman-existence of Peace !
It is like a torrent of annihilation
Over the fields of bliss and well-being.
It is like the fall of a thunderbolt of cruelty
Over the mountain-top tender with love.
This Age should not be separated
From happiness and peace
And It should not be reduced to pieces
By sufferings and vexations.
A wave of eagerness
Runs through the Soil
The position of ups and downs of life too
Leaves behind the emitted poison
