‘‘हित से जो युक्त-समन्वित होता है
वह सहित माना है
और
सहित का भाव ही
साहित्य बाना है,
अर्थ यह हुआ कि
जिसके अवलोकन से
सुख का समुद्भव-सम्पादन हो
सही साहित्य वही है
अन्यथा,
सुरभि से विरहित पुष्प-सम
सुख का राहित्य है वह
सार-शून्य शब्द-झुण्ड...!
इसे, यूँ भी कहा जा सकता है
कि
शान्ति का श्वास लेता
सार्थक जीवन ही
सर्जक सृष्टा है शाश्वत साहित्य का।
इस साहित्य को
आँखें भी पढ़ सकती हैं
कान भी सुन सकते हैं
इसकी सेवा हाथ भी कर सकते हैं
यह साहित्य जीवन्त है ना!”
इस बार...तो...काँटा
कान्ता-समागम से भी
कई गुणा अधिक
आनन्द का अनुभव करता है
फटा माथ हो कर भी
“ That which is united and co-ordinated with
the welfare
Is regarded to be benevolent,
And
The purport of the benevolent
Is the profession of literature,
It really means that
The true literature is only that
By studying which
Happiness should be originated and attained
Otherwise,
Like a flower devoid of sweet smell
It is the deprivation of happiness
A cluster of words without sum and
Substance...!
This point may also be put thus
That
A fruitful life, indeed,
Breathing peacefulness,
Is the creator of immortal literature,
Such a literature
May be read also by the eyes
May also be heard by the ears
The hands may also serve it,
Indeed, such a literature is alive!”
Well...this time...the thorn
Feels indeed much delighted
Even many times more
Than that of the re-union with one's better-half,
Despite having its forehead crumbled, -
