‘‘नासमझ थी, समझी बात, माँ!
उलझी थी, अब सुलझी, माँ!
अब पीने को
जल-तत्त्व की अपेक्षा नहीं,
अब जीने को
बल-सत्त्व की अपेक्षा नहीं
टूटा-फूटा
फटा हुआ यह जीवन
जुड़ जाय बस, किसी तरह
शाश्वत सत् से,
...सातत्य चित्त से
बेजोड़ बन जाय, बस!
अब सीने को
सूई-सूत्र की अपेक्षा नहीं।
जल में जनम लेकर भी
जलती रही यह मछली
जल से, जलचर जन्तुओं से
जड़ में शीतलता कहाँ माँ?
चन्द पलों में
इन चरणों में जो पाई।
मलयाचल का चन्दन
और
चेतोहारिणी
चाँद की चमकती चाँदनी भी।
चित्त से चली गई उछली-सी कहीं
मेरी स्पर्शा पर आज।
हर्षा की वर्षा की है।
तेरी शीतलता ने।
माँ! शीत-लता हो तुम!
साक्षात् शिवायनी!
"O Mother ! I was ignorant, I grasp the point,
I was entangled, am unravelled Mother ! now,
I don't need the water-element
Now to drink;
I don't expect vigour and vitality
For sustaining life now,
Worn and torn
Tattered and scattered this life
Should only be united somehow
With the Supreme Being,
...With the Divine Knowledge,
Should become patchless, nothing more !
No needle-and-thread is required
Now, for stitching.
In spite of being born in water
This fish went on burning
From water or from the watery creatures,
Where is the coolness at root, O Mother ?
Which has been achieved, within moments,
At thy feet !
The sandalwood of the Mount Malaya
And
The heart-stealing
Brilliant radiance of the moon too
Went off somewhere, with a jump,
from the mind
On my contact-today.
Thy tranquillity
Has showered happiness.
Mother ! Thou art a creeper of coolness !
An Embodiment of Final Emancipation !
