जिया-धर्म की
दया-धर्म की
प्रभावना हो...!
लबालब जल से
भरी हुई बालटी कूप से
ऊर्ध्व-गतिवाली होती है।
अब!
पतन-पाताल से
उत्थान-उत्ताल की ओर।
केवल देख रही है मछली,
जल का अभाव नहीं
बल का अभाव नहीं
तथापि
तैर नहीं रही मछली।
भूल-सी गई है तैरना वह,
स्पन्दन-हीन मतिवाली हुई है
स्वभाव का दर्शन हुआ, कि
क्रिया का अभाव हुआ-सा
लगता है अब...!
अमन्द स्थितिवाली होती है वह!
बालटी वह अबाधित
ऊपर आई-भू पर
कूप का बन्धन
दूर हुआ मछली का,
सुनहरी है, सुख-झरी है
धूप का वन्दन...!

Should achieve supremacy...!
Brimming with water
The bucket gains momentum
Upwards, through the well-pit,
Now!
From its downfall into the underworld
Towards its lofty upliftment.
The fish is only looking on,
There is no lack of water
There is no want of strength
Even then
The fish is not swimming.
It has almost forgotten gliding into water,
It has attained the stability of mind
No sooner does it visualize its real ‘self
Than, it appears now that,
All activity stands still...!
It begets a state of inner strength !
That bucket was lifted up
Unhindered, upon the ground
The fish was freed
From the bondage of the well-pit;
The greeting to the sun-light
Was golden and mirthful...!
