अस्त्रों, शस्त्रों और वस्त्रों-
कृपाणों पर भी
‘‘दया-धर्म का मूल है।”
लिखा मिलता है।
किन्तु,
कृपाण कृपालु नहीं हैं।
वे स्वयं कहते हैं।
हम हैं कृपाण
हम में कृपा न!
कहाँ तक कहें अब!
धर्म का झण्डा भी
डण्डा बन जाता है।
शास्त्र शस्त्र बन जाता है।
अवसर पा कर।
और
प्रभु-स्तुति में तत्पर
सुरीली बाँसुरी भी
बाँस बन पीट सकती है।
प्रभु-पथ पर चलने वालों को।
समय की बलिहारी है!’’
सखी की बात सुन कर
मछली पुनः कहती है कि
‘‘यदि तुझे नहीं आना है, मत आ
परन्तु
उपदेश दे कर
व्यर्थ में समय मत खा…!”
There is inherent life in the one
There is melodrama of life in the other.
At present...
Upon the arms, weapons, clothes -
And even upon the swords
It's found inscribed -
*Mercy is the root of all religions’
But,
The sword is not merciful,
Thus they declare themselves :
We are the swords,
We don't mind mercy !
How far we should go to describe now!
The banner of creed too
Changes into a rod
The Holy Scriptures turn into weapons,
Whenever a chance avails.
And
Even a melodious flute too
Engrossed in eulogizing the Lord,
Can beat, on assuming the form of a cane,
Those who tread the path of the Lord,
Thanks to the twists of times !”
On hearing the words of its companion
The fish further adds:
“If thou does not wish to come, don't
come , but
Don't waste the time
By bestowing preachings...!"
