आगे-आगे भी चलता रहे

उसे खोले बिना
भरी बालटी को
कूप से ऊपर निकालते समय
जब वह गाँठ गिर्रा पर
आ गिरेगी,
नियम रूप से
बालटी का सन्तुलन
बिगड़ जाएगा तब।
और
रस्सी गिर्रा में फँसेगी।
परिणाम-स्वरूप
बालटी का बहुत कुछ जल
उछल कर पुनः
कप में गिरेगा
उस जल में रहते जलचर जीव
लगी चोट के कारण
अकाल में ही मरेंगे,
इस दोष के स्वामी
मेरे स्वामी कैसे बन सकते हैं ?
इसीलिए गाँठ का खोलना
आवश्यक ही नहीं
अनिवार्य रहा।
समझी बात!

Without it being disentangled;
At the time when the filled up bucket
Is being pulled out of the well-bottom,
If that knot
Falls upon the reel,
The balance of the bucket,
As a rule,
Would be spoiled.
And, then-
The cord would get entangled with the reel.
As a result of it
A lot of the bucket-water
Would leap down
Into the well again,
Many watery organisms living in that water
Would face an untimely death
Due to the injury thus inflicted,
How can my Lord
Be the owner of such a blemish ?
Hence, the unbinding of the knot,
Became not only necessary
But also inevitable.
