रस्सी के बीचोंबीच
एक गाँठ आ पड़ी...
कसी गाँठ है वह।
खोलना अनिवार्य है उसे
और
आयाम प्रारम्भ हुआ शिल्पी का।
हाथ के दोनों अंगुष्ठों में
दोनों तर्जनियों में
पूरी शक्ति को ला कर
केन्द्रित करता है वह,
श्वास रुकता है।
बाहर का बाहर, भीतर का भीतर!
लो! कुम्भक प्राणायाम
अपने आप घटित हुआ।
होठों को चबाती-सी मुद्रा,
दोनों बाहुओं में
नसों का जाल वह
तनाव पकड़ रहा है”,
त्वचा में उभार-सा आया है।
पर,
गाँठ खुल नहीं रही है।
अंगुष्ठों का बल
घट गया है,
दोनों तर्जनी
लगभग शून्य होने को हैं,
और नाखून
खूनदार हो उठे हैं।
पर गाँठ खुल नहीं रही है!
There dropped a knot...
At the mid-point of the cord,
It's a tight knot.
It is inevitable to untie it
And
The effort of the Artisan began.
Between both of his thumbs,
Between both of his fore-fingers,
Having applied his full strength
He concentrates himself,
The breath stops-
The breathing in and breathing out stands still!
Lo! The 'Kumbhaka Prāņāyāma’
Taking its decreasing course itself.
The posture as that of eschewing the lips,
The network of nerves
Within both the arms,
Is gathering tension,
There appears some uprise into the skin
But,
The knot is not getting unravelled.
The force of the thumbs
Has decreased,
Both the fore-fingers
Are getting almost numb,
And the nails
Have become blood-red
Still the knot is not getting untied !
