जलाती है ज्वलन-सी।
जल जीवन देता है।
हिम जीवन लेता है,
स्वभाव और विभाव में
यही अन्तर है,
यही सन्तों का कहना है।
जो
जग-जीवन-वेत्ता हैं।
इससे यही फलित होता है।
कि
भले ही
हिम की बाहरी त्वचा
शीतशीला हो।
परन्तु, भीतर से
हिम में शीतलता नहीं रही अब!
उसमें ज्वलनशीलता
उदित हुई है अवश्य!
अन्यथा,
जिसे प्यास लगी हो
जिसका कण्ठ सूख रहा हो
और जिससे
जिसकी आँखें जल रही हों
वह
जल्दी-से-जल्दी
इन पीड़ाओं की मुक्ति के लिए
हिम की डली खा लेता है।
परन्तु, उलटी
कसकर प्यास बढ़ती क्यों ?
नाक से नाकी क्यों निकलती है?
Burns like a blaze.
The water bestows life
The snow takes the life away,
This is the only difference
Between the higher nature and the contrary nature,
This, indeed, is said by the sages
Who
Are well-versed in universal life.
The outcome of this all is
That
It matters little
If the outer layer of the snow
Is chilly-natured
But, from within,
The snow is now devoid of coolness !
There has risen, certainly,
A sense of inflammation into it!
Otherwise,
He,
Who is feeling thirsty
Whose throat is getting dried up,
And due to which
Whose eyes are burning,
Takes a slice of snow,
In place of water,
To make himself free from those tortures
As soon as possible,
But, on the contrary,
Why does the thirst take a sharp rise ?
Why does the mucus drop out of the nose ?
