    वरना

    वर्ण-संकर-दोष को

    ...वरना होगा!

    और

    यह अनिवार्य होगा।

    इस कथन से

    वर्ण-लाभ का निषेध हुआ हो।

    ऐसी बात नहीं है,

    नीर की जाति न्यारी है।

    क्षीर की जाति न्यारी,

    दोनों के

    परस-रस-रंग भी।

    परस्पर निरे-निरे हैं।

    और

    यह सर्व-विदित है,

    फिर भी

    यथा-विधि, यथा-निधि

    क्षीर में, नीर मिलाते ही

    नीर, क्षीर बन जाता है।

    और सुनो।

    केवल  

    वर्ण-रंग की अपेक्षा

    गाय का क्षीर भी धवल है।

    आक का क्षीर भी धवल है।

    दोनों ऊपर से विमल हैं।

    परन्तु

    परस्पर उन्हें मिलाते ही

    विकार उत्पन्न होता है-

    क्षीर फट जाता है।

    पीर बन जाता है वह!

     

    Otherwise

    The blame of caste-admixture

    Will have to be born on head...!

    And

    It will be unavoidable.

    By this mention

    The caste-advantage would have been denied

    -Such is not the case,

    The tribe of water is separate

    The tribe of milk is distinct,

    The senses of touch, taste and tint too

    Of both of them

    Differ with each other-

    And

    It's known to all,

    Even then

    In due way and in due quantity

    As and when water is mingled with milk

    The water turns into milk.

     

    And, listen !

    As regards only the colour-tint

    The cow-milk too is white

    The milk of the swallow-wort too is white

    Both of them are outwardly bright

    But

    As and when they are intermingled

    A disorder is produced-

    The milk becomes sour

    It becomes troublesome !
