    पर के प्रति

    उपकारक भी हो सकता है |

    और

    अपने प्रति

    करण ही होता है |

    परन्तु

    पर के प्रति

    उपकरण भी हो सकता है;

    तभी... तो

    अन्धा नहीं वह गदहा

    मदान्ध भी नहीं,

     

    उसका भीतरी भाग

    भीगा हुआ है समूचा

    बाहर आता है सहज

    भावना भाता हुआ

    भगवान् से प्राथना करता है

     

    मेरा नाम सार्थक हो प्रभो !

    यानि

    गद का अर्थ है रोग

    हा का अर्थ हारक

    मैं सबके रोग का हन्ता बनूँ बस,

    और कुछ वांछा नहीं

    गद-हा...गद-हा…!

     

    और यहे क्या ?

    अनहोनी-सी कुछ

    अनुभूत होती माटी को

    विस्मय का पार नहीं रहा,

     

    It can also be benevolent

    To another one.

    And

    It acts to itself

    As an instrumental cause

    But

    It can also be a means

    For some different one;

    That is...Why

    That ass is neither blind

    Nor haughty too,

    His inner conscience

    Is entirely sensitive-

    He comes forth

    With a natural course of feelings

    Prays to God

    That

     

    My name should prove its Worth, O Lord !

    That is to say-

    The Word ‘gada’ signifies ‘disease’

    The word ‘hā’ signifies ‘healer’

    I should be the healer of everybody's ailments, ... that's all,

    Nothing else is desired-

    The healer of ailments... gada...hai...gadaha !

     

    And What a Wonder ?

    The Soil comes to realize

    Something which seems to be impossible

    The surprise goes beyond limits,
