बार-बार बस,
बोरी में से झाँक रही है।
माटी भोली !
सतियों को भी
यतियों को भी प्यारी है।
यही प्राचीना परिपाटी।
इसके सामने
बन्धन-विरहित-शीला
नूतन-नवीना
इस युग की जीवन-लीला
कीमत कम पाती है।
तभी तो...
संवेदनशील शिल्पी ने
माटी को पूछा है।
कि
‘‘तामसता से... दूर
सात्त्विक गालों पर तेरे
घाव-से लगते हैं,
छेद-से लगते हैं,
सन्देह-सा हो रहा है।
भेद जानना चाहता हूँ।
यदि...कोई...बाधा...न...हो...तो
बताने की कृपा करोगी ?”
कुछ क्षणों के लिए
माटी के सामने
अतीत लौट आता है।
और
उत्तर के रूप में
और कुछ नहीं
केवल...दीर्घ...श्वास !
The simple Soil
Once and again,
Is Only peeping through the bags !
This very ancient convention
ls dearer to chaste Women
As Well as to ascetics.
In comparison to it,
The new and ultra-modern
Life-style of our present Age,
Which prefers uncontrolled wantonness,
Finds itself de-Valuated.
That is why...
The Sensitive Artisan
Has asked the Soil
That
“On thy pious cheeks-
Away... from sinfulness,
There appear to be some boils,
Some pores look like rising up,
I wish to get into the mystery-
Some doubt is being felt,-
Would you tell me, please ?
If you... feel no... hesitation...indeed !
For Some moments
The past flashes back
Before the Soil
And
In answer to it
Nothing else
But a...deep... sigh !
