युग के आदि में
इसका नामकरण हुआ है।
कुम्भकार !
‘कु’ यानी धरती
और
‘भ’ यानी भाग्य होता है
यहाँ पर जो
भाग्यवान् भाग्य-विधाता हो।
कुम्भकार कहलाता है।
यथार्थ में
प्रति-पदार्थ वह
स्वयं-कार ही कर भी
यह उपचार हुआ है-
शिल्पी का नाम
कुम्भकार हुआ है।
हाँ! अब शिल्पी ने
कार्य की शुरूआत में
ओंकार को नमन किया
और उसने
पहले से ही
अहंकार का वमन किया है।
कतृत्व-बुद्धि से
मुड़ गया है वह
और
Unstinted Is this Art
And skilful is this Artisan.
Since the prime dawn of the Era
He has been assigned the name-
Kumbhakāra ! - the ‘Pot-Maker !’
‘Kuin’.... that is, ‘the earth’ or ‘Soil’
And
‘Bha’.... that is, ‘fortune’
Here, the One,
Who is a fortunate fortune-maker
Is called to be the Kumbhakara !
Really
Each and every substance
Being actively self-existent in itself,
This has been an assigned
The ‘creator’ has been assigned
The name of Kumbhakara.
Yes ! now the Artisan
While commencing his task
Offered his salutation to o ‘Omkāra’
And he
At the Very outset
Has vomited his egotism !
He has turned away
From the doer-mindedness
And
