सीमातीत-शून्य में
नीलिमा बिछाई,
और...इधर....निचे...
निरी नीरवता छाई है,
निशा का अवसान हो रहा है
उषा का अब आन हो रहा है।
भानु की निद्रा टूट तो गई है
परन्तु अभी वह
लेटा है
माँ की मार्दव-गोद में,
मुख पर अंचल लेकर
करवटें ले रहा है।
प्राची के अधरों पर
मन्द-मधुरिम मुस्कान है
सर पर पल्ला नहीं है
और
सिन्दूरी धूल उड़ती-सी
रंगीन-राग की आभा-
भाई है, भाई.!
In the boundless space
A bedding of bluishness,
And... hither...underneath
Prevails absolute silence,
The night is touching its termination
The dawn is now attaining its arrival
The Sun is slumbering no more indeed
Yet he is
Still reclining
Into the gentle lap of the mother,
Is changing sides
While drawing the garment over his face.
On the lips of the Eastern horizon
There lurks a light graceful Smile
No hem on the head is there
And
Like the scattered Scarlet dust
The splendour of the colourful tint-
Appears agreeable, dear brother.
