फानूस पर चिड़िया
 कांच के नाजुक फानूस पर 
 बैठी चिड़िया
 बहुत भोली
 और अच्छी लगती है,
 पर मन डरता है
 कि कहीं फानूस 
 टूटकर गिर न जाए 
 कि कहीं चिड़िया
 उड़ न जाए!

Bird On the Glass Chandelier
The bird looks
So innocent and elegant
Sitting on the delicate
Glass of the chandelier.
I fear, however
That the glass may break
And the bird will
Fly away.
