रीतापन
 चिड़िया आयी
 उसके करीब
 एक चिड़िया 
 और आयी
 चहचहायी 
 सारा आकाश भर गया
 चिड़िया की चहचहाहट से
 जीवन का रीतापन 
 भर नहीं पाया आदमी
 परस्पर मधुर संवाद से !

Emptiness
 A bird alighted;
 Near it another bird
 Came and sang.
 The entire sky
 Resounded with the birds’ singing.
 It’s man only who could not fill
 His life’s emptiness
 With mutual mild talk.
